She was placed with a neighbor family by the name of williams. At the
date of her mothers death William Henry was unable to care for her. Mr
and Mrs Williamd took her as their own and raised her. When William
Henry McGregor remarried and the family moved to Texas, he said that he
did not have the heart to take her away from the Williams who had cared
for her during her infancy so she was left in the state of Illinois where
she was born. She was born about 1873, ate and month not known.
She married Sandy Tucker, who was a farmer and lived at Calhoun,
Illinois, They had 3 children
From the time that her father moved to Texas it was 53 years before she
had seen her sister Sarah Shaffner.

Cecil E. McGregor was married to Helen Belcher, Morgan Texas. They lived
in the vicinity of Dallas, Texas most of their married life. There were
no children. He was employed forty years by Texas Power and Light Co.
and before this he was employed by the Sante Fe Railroad, he was born
7/9/1902, died March 10, 1966. At the time of his death he was living at
Irving, Texas.

John Clifford McGregor was born June 4, 1916. He graduated from Milano
School in 1934. He was employed for a time at Galveston, Texas, at
Marine Hospital; enlisted in U.S. Army December 1, 1941, killed in action
in South Pacific Second World War, June 18, 1944. He is buried in Army
Cemetery, San Antonio, Texas. Milano County Cemetary contains a
headstone for John C. McGregor. Unsure which site the body is actually
buried.
Clifford McGregor had an article published in the Cameron Herald on April
2, 1931 about the Prosperous Era of Milano.
In two books published by Basil McGregor, Cliffords date of death
differ. In Milano, Texas, A History by Basil McGregor 1873 - 1965 he
states that Cliffored fought in the Second World War in the Southwest
Pacific Invasion and was killed in Saipan June 27, 1944 at the age of
29. Cooney, Doots and Cliff Post No. 4459 Veterans of Foreign War of the
United States was named in honor of three local men who lost their lives
in service for our country.

Hi lived most of his married life in Lee County Texas, He was a school
teacher and later was elected couty superintendent of schools in which he
served for several years until his death.
