Amy McGregor operated an Antidque Shop in east Milano. She handled old Pattern Glass, Chine and some furniture.

"Samuel McIntosh, son of John Ogg McIntosh was born Paris, bourbon County, KY 12/25/1791. Like his father he was a wheelwright. In 1813 he and his brother John, at the call of Gov Shelby enlisted in the Northwest Army, was in the division that under Gen Lewis Cass. invaded Canada. He was aboard the American ship the morning after the battle known as Perry's Victory. In 1814, he came to Edwards (now Wabash) county, Illinois, and settled for a while at Compton's Fort near where Allendale now stands. He was the last survivor of the party of nine men who went in pursuit of the Indians who massacred the Cannon Family at the Old Painter Graveyard. He remained a citizen of Wabash County from 1814 until his death 6/16/1879 at the age of 88 years. His will is on file in the Court House at Mt. Carmel in File No. 98. It was dated 3/25/1878 when he was 86 years of age.

He married at Robinson, Ills, 1821 Eleanor Matthews, born in Tennessee 9/11/1797 and died 12/28/1876, the daughter of Samuel Matthews whose family was living in Crawford County, Ills, at the time of Eleanor's marriage. She is buried in Allendale Cemetery.

Andrew Jackson, who was b. near Allendale, Illinois 6/12/1834. He taught school several terms. In 1857 he began the study of Medicine and in 1860 he began practicing. In 1868 he graduated from a College of Medicine and Surgery with an M.D. degree He mar. (1) Sarah Grayson, the dau. of Napoleon and Sophia (McFarland) Grayson, a native of Wabash County who d. 7/7/1876. He mar. (2) Mrs. Jane (McFarland) Fox, the mother of Hiram Fox. Jane was the daughter of James Alexander McFarland of Christian Co. Ky., and his wife Rachel Osborn was b. in Lawrence Co. Ills. Her paternal grandparents were John McFarland and Mary P. Thompson, b. Christian Co. Ky."
